 Visual Field Test
This test is performed to determine the extent of your peripheral vision. A visual field test is usually recommended in cases where damage to the optic nerve or the visual pathway to the brain is suspected. It is most commonly used to investigate visual loss caused by glaucoma.
The Visual Field test involves identifying a series of lights presented to different areas of the field of vision.
At HCO the visual field test is carried out using a computerized Humphrey Visual Field Analyzer. The test usually takes about 30 minutes to complete.
