 Refractive Error

A refractive error is a focusing problem of the eye, which causes blurred vision. The different types of refractive errors are Myopia (Nearsightedness), Hyperopia (Farsightedness), Astigmatism and Presbyopia.
Refractive errors are corrected with the use of lenses to focus the light entering the eye on to the retina. This focusing is done with the use of Spectacle lenses, Contact lenses or Refractive Surgery.
Your Spectacle and Contact lens needs can be provided by Harcourt Carter Optical. Currently Refractive surgery is not available locally, Harcourt Carter recommends the professional treatment at the Herzig Eye Institute.
